Our stories

Eranna Ajja, is a 65-year-old resident of 82 Danapur village. Despite facing challenges such as having his children migrate annually for sugarcane harvesting and residing in an area with limited soil due to its proximity to a rocky hill, Eranna demonstrated exceptional initiative when Sakhi offered support for creating kitchen gardens. He was the first to embrace this opportunity. Eranna, a kind-hearted individual, has successfully cultivated various vegetables and greens in his own kitchen garden using organic methods. Not only does he and his wife benefit from this fresh produce, but he generously shares it with his community, contributing to their well-being. Eranna has become an expert in organic kitchen gardening and is now ready to guide others in their own efforts.

While we’ve made significant strides, there’s still much to be done. The journey to break the cycle of exploitation and ensure a brighter future through education is ongoing. To continue our impactful programs and expand our reach, we need your support.

Your support is not just a donation; it’s an investment in creating a future where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive. Together, let’s rewrite the narrative for Devadasi women and their children, providing them with the education and empowerment they deserve.
