Hailing from the Madiga community in PK Halli, Venkatesh’s family had a history of mining-related work, which left their land uncultivated for a quarter-century. However, in the midst of the Covid crisis, Venkatesh, with the support of Sakhi, transitioned to organic farming, breathing new life into his once-neglected land. This shift to natural farming deepened Venkatesh’s passion for agriculture, and he experienced immense joy when he harvested his first crop.
Sakhi played a pivotal role by providing assistance in land development, seeds, fertilizers, tools, and essential training for his farming journey. Venkatesh’s love for agriculture and his commitment to the environment have paved the way for further advancements in his farming endeavors.
